  This is about hope. Lesley must be channeling R. Rohr and T Merton. RR speaks of how hope is not for the future it is for now. The reality of living with God's promises now. Merton speaks of how he has decided (on a particular day) to be satisfied with who he is now rather than to be dissatisfied because he has not grown sufficiently, He reasons that he needs to accept and be happy with the now in order to have the potential to grow.

 

 We experience highs and lows, problems and joys every day. Scripture has beautiful stories, The story of God's plan for creation. It also has sayings from Jesus, the prophets,  and the disciples.  These hold many of the answers we want at critical times be it comfort affirmation or guidance.
